GallBladder No More

Tonight is the last night with my body as a whole. I will part with my gallbladder tomorrow. Bye bye little trouble maker. My nerves are a little jittery but i'm fine. I have some pain but with a little morphine, im fine.The more I think about it the more I realize it's a simple procedure. In and out :) let's get some sleep......................maybe not my roommate's company just arrived it's 2am and I feel like a nosey neighbor listening to teenagers clown and play with their phones and laptops and giggle and reminise. And what sounded like the bed rocking. Is this a hospital or a hotel? This is soo rude. So instead of me getting up bitch slapping them, i went and got a nurse to have them booted out. If my company can't stay your's can't either. Me and my friend i have only a few hours with have to get some rest. If I haven't said it lately I Love You

Back to the Hot Box

I am flying through this book. The Help, I had to slow down especially for those of you who still haven't gotten your books yet. Anyway I wanna take it back to the Hot Box.
When I see homeless people I always think of what their life was at one time, most of the time when I see homeless people they look like they are on drugs and it makes me upset. I feel like homeless people can still have some pride and dignity about themselves, I know not all homeless people are out asking for money or to wash your windshield. It isn't always obvious that some people are homeless; There are homeless people who stay in a shelter and clean themselves and their children very well. I admit have made assumptions before but I also realize anyone could find themselves in their shoes also. In the book the Hot Box, Milena met 'Randolph' on the streets homeless.

Do you make assumptions about homeless people when you see them, or do you realize that anyone could find themselves in that situation?

The Help

Hopefully you have gotten your book or are in the process of getting it because in a couple of weeks we will be relaxing with all of our favorite wines and discussing the book. The Help. And also The Hot box, which we've previously read. How could u forget the part with the s*** beads in the bed? Ugh! Anyway we also need a list for our next book picks, so keep that in mind. And for that one person who acts like its just soo hard to curl up on the couch at naptime, u now have a book reader on your phone. Make it happen. gotta go. If i havent said it or showed it lately. What about your friends?

I am reading the current Essence magazine and its all about you and your besties. I was just sitting back thinking about the friends in my life. I have some good friends. Some of my besties are even family.I might not see them all the time but if I need them I know where to find them and they know where to find me.

But I think we need to kick it up a notch. With my new demanding life and everyone elses demanding life, we may talk on the phone every once in a while, but what happened to the days of coming over kicking it, going out to eat, going out for cocktails, riding in the car spying on our guys, shopping together, window shopping together, cooking together, friday night mixers, saturday night clubbing?

I miss the interaction with my girls. So let's get together. I understand we can't always get away from our children for long periods of time and some of us can't leave the man at home, he either calls the whole damn time you're gone, or if you're me, he'll just show up. So bring 'em too, as long as we're having fun the more the merrier. Sometimes :)
